National Anti Ragging Week 2024

Under the able leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad celebrated "National Anti Ragging Day on 12th August 2024 & observed "National Anti Ragging Week" from 12th to 18th August 2024.

The objective of the event was to educate the students about the various impacts of ragging and also to promote a safe, ragging-free environment at the college.

The programme included an enlightening lecture on the severe consequences of ragging by Dr. Shivani Mathur, Dean- Student Affairs, Prof. & Head, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry.

The lecture was attended by all BDS students, Anti Ragging Committee and Squad Members, Women Cell Committee of the college.

Various Activities like Poster and Slogan Competition and Nukkad Natak were conducted to mark the observance of the week with an aim to spread the message "To Unite against Ragging" amongst all students to make the campus a ragging free zone.

World Breastfeeding Week 2024

Under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, World Breastfeeding Week was celebrated by Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad from 5th to 11th August 2024.

Various activities like Micro Group Awareness & interactive Session with women regarding health education & importance of breast feeding to expecting Mothers and Females visiting the College OPD, Maternity ward CHC Muradnagar, Anganwadi Workers Sultanpur village and the camp site were conducted.

We thank our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha for providing his constant support in organizing these events.

Oral Hygiene Week 2024

Under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Oral Hygiene Week was celebrated by Department of Periodontology & Oral Implantology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad from 5th to 10th August 2024.

The patients visiting the OPD were sensitized regarding oral hygiene maintenance and also its impact on overall health. Distribution of Oral Hygeine Aids to the Walk-In Patients was also done.

Various Activities like Online ISP Lecture, Quiz, Reels Competiton, Poster & Face Painting Competition were conducted for Undergraduate & Postgraduate students.

Nukkad Natak focusing on promoting Oral Health was also performed by the students.

Independence Day 2024 Celebrations

Flag Hoisting Ceremony was organized on the occasion of 78th Independence Day at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 15th August 2024 for all the students and faculty members residing in the campus.

The ceremony signified the feeling of pride to be an Indian which is embraced by the students of the institution.

Orientation Program for 19th Batch of MDS 2024-27

Under the exemplary leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organised the Orientation Program to welcome the 19th Batch of MDS (2024-27) on 12th August 2024.

The event was graced by presence of the Distinguished Guest, Dr. R.C. Gupta, Principal, LLRM Medical College, Dean Medical Faculty, CCS University, Meerut, Dr. R.P Chadha, Honorable Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group & Mr. Surinder Sood, Director-PR, I.T.S-The Education Group.

The welcome address was given by Dr. Sonali Taneja, Dean PG-Studies and Clinics, Professor & Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics where she introduced and welcomed the Distinguished Guests.

Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, Director-Principal welcomed all the students and their parents to the institute and introduced the experienced faculty members of all speciality departments to the gathering.

Mr. Surinder Sood, Director-PR, I.T.S-The Education Group elaborated on the Institute's guiding principles and how they set them apart from other institutions. He also congratulated the students and inspired them to achieve great heights in dentistry.

Distinguished Guest, Dr. R.C. Gupta addressed the students on the occasion of the beginning of their professional journey and with his vast experience guided them on how to march forward towards success & wished the students good luck and a bright future ahead.

The orientation also witnessed an interactive session for the students and the parents where the students briefly introduced themselves along with the hobbies and interests.

This was followed by a campus visit of the students so as to familiarize them with the various advanced facilities of the campus.

World Hepatitis Day 2024

Under the exemplary leadership of our Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, World Hepatitis Day 2024 was celebrated by Department of Microbiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 26th July 2024.

The theme for this year's Hepatitis Day was "Its Time for Action".

The programme included an informative lecture, Quiz Competition and Nukkad Natak delivering the essential message of hepatitis awareness and prevention to the public.

The programme was attended by students and faculty members.

National Public Health Dentistry Day 2024

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, National Public Health Dentistry Day was celebrated by Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 19th June 2024

Many Outreach activities were conducted which included Micro Awareness of the OPD & Camp patients on the importance of oral health and maintaining good oral hygiene was done.

Various Competitions like Logo and Reel Making Competition for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students were also conducted.

A Webinar was conducted on the Scope of doing MDS in Public Health Dentistry.

A Training Sesison was also conducted for the ASHA and Anganwadi workers on the importance of promoting good oral health.

International Day of Yoga 2024

Under the patronage of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, International Day of Yoga was celebrated by Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 21st June 2024.

The theme for this year event was Yoga for Self and Society in order to make participants aware about the importance of International Day of Yoga.

A Yog Shivir was organised in the institute in order to make general public aware about the importance of International Day of Yoga.

Awareness about physical and mental diseases and its solutions through practicing yoga was given to the students and faculty members.

World Environment Day 2024

Under the patronage of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2024.

The theme for this year event was Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience.

The objective of the campaign was to create awareness and encourage efforts to protect the environment among the general population.

Various series of activities were conducted which included Micro Awareness of patients visiting the OPD and camp at Loni, Ghaziabad. Awareness about the judicious use of plastics was also given to people.

Tree Plantation was also done in the College Campus by Deans, Head of the Departments & faculty members.

World No Tobacco Day 2024

Under the aegis of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Department of Public Health Dentistry and Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad celebrated "World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2024.

The theme for this year was Protect Children from Tobacco Industry Interference.

The objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about the harmful effects & consequence related to tobacco use and its impact on the mental, social and physical well-being.

Various Outreach activities and Micro Group Awareness like Awareness Talk at Dasna jail for Inmates and for patients in dental camp at Siwal Khas was conducted.

Sensitization of Tobacco vendors about sale of tobacco to minors in Muradnagar was also done.

Poster Competition and Quiz competition for both Undergraduate & Postgraduate students were also conducted.

A Nukkad Natak for OPD patients was also organized by the students to create awareness.

Tobacco Cessation Booth was also set up in the College Reception Area where patients were counseled about tobacco cessation and pledge was taken from them for stopping tobacco use.

Micro Group Awareness of the patients in the waiting area was done by the students about harmful effects of tobacco use. A Pledge was also taken by the patients, Doctors and students against tobacco use.

Two Day Free Denture Camp

White Coat Ceremony 2024

Under the patronage of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, the iconic Annual White Coat and Academic Awards Ceremony was organized at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 4th May 2024.

The Distinguished Guest for the event were Dr. Riyaz Ahmad, Professor & Head-Dental Wing, LLRM Medical College, Meerut & Asst. Controller of Evaluation, CCS University, Meerut and Dr. Anamika Sharma, Professor, Department of Periodontics, LLRM Medical College, Meerut.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Dr. R.P. Chadha & Director-PR, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Surinder Sood.

The Ceremony marks the day when the third year B.D.S students enter the clinical world to embark on the journey of becoming successful clinicians.

The gathering was introduced to the program by Dr. Piush Kumar, Dean-UG Studies. He explained the importance of white coat ceremony.

This was followed by administration of the Oath to the BDS Third year students who will be entering into the clinical world of Dentistry by Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, Director-Principal and he also spoke about the achievements of the institution along with the extraordinary infrastructure present in the college.

Distinguished Guest, Dr. Riyaz Ahmad appreciated the initiative taken by the college to encourage the students by giving improvement awards.

Distinguished Guest, Dr. Anamika Sharma was highly impressed by the state-of-the-art infrastructure and also congratulated and motivated the university toppers and College toppers students.

The dignitaries then gave away Academic awards to the university toppers of C.C.S University and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow and College toppers from BDS First year to BDS Final year followed by the Academic improvement awards to acknowledge the students who have improved significantly in their academic positions as compared to previous year.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Shivani Mathur, Dean- Students Affairs.

World Health Day 2024

Under the able guidance of Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad celebrated World Health Day on 8th April 2024 with the theme My Health, My Right".

Micro Group Awareness of patients regarding importance of General and Oral Health for better health at camp venue Sakalpura and College OPD.

Free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar levels check up and counselling sessions were done for the patients visiting the Dental College OPD area.

A Health Awareness talk for patients at camp venue Sakalpura was done providing valuable insights into the importance of maintaining their health and their association with oral health.

A Nukkad Natak was performed by students of the college in order to create awareness among the patients about importance of general health, association of general health and oral health

Poster Competition for Under Graduate & Post Graduate students was also organized.

19th Annual Convocation Ceremony 2024

Under the proficient leadership and guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, 19th Annual Convocation Ceremony 2024 was organized for 19th Batch of BDS (2018-23) & 15th Batch of MDS (2020-23) at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 6th April 2024.

The event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha; Distinguished Guests, Ms. Anju Gupta (IPS Retd), Ex. DG-UP Police, New Delhi and Dr. S.K Kak (Former Vice Chancellor, CCS University, Meerut & Former Vice Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida).

The program started by the welcoming of the dignitaries by Mr. Surinder Sood (Director-PR, I.T.S-The Education Group).

Dr. Sonali Taneja (Dean, PG Studies & Clinics, HOD, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics) made the students swore the Hippocratic Oath.

Dr. Devi Charan Shetty (Director-Principal) in his report highlighted the stupendous academic achievements of the students.

Distinguished Guest, Ms. Anju Gupta appreciated the efforts put in by the institute to cater the dental needs of the poor patients by dental treatments at affordable rates. She congratulated the newly graduated students and encouraged them to keep working hard and achieve success in life.

Distinguished Guest, Dr. S.K Kak congratulated the newly graduating students and appreciated the college on giving such brilliant dentists to the service of the nation.

The respected dignitaries presented awards to the students excelling in Academics and extracurricular activities and gave away degrees to 136 Undergraduate & Postgraduate students.

The Undergraduate & Postgraduate student representatives thanked our Honorable Chairman, Dr. R.P Chadha & Honorable Vice Chairman, Shri Arpit Chadha on behalf of all the students for providing excellent infrastructure, teaching facilities and taking new initiatives for students wellbeing.

World Oral Health Day 2024

Under the able guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, World Oral Health Day was celebrated by Department of Prosthodontics and Oral Implantology & Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 20th March 2024.

The theme for this year event was A Happy Mouth Is A Happy Body.

An Oral Health Awareness Talk for patients at dental camps, providing valuable insights into the effect of oral health on the body was organised.

A series of competitions like Quiz, Soap Carving, Create Your Own Innovative Oral Hygiene Aid, Video Reel Competition were conducted for the students.

A Free Denture Camp for the residents of the old age home as well as the patients coming to the institute was organised.

Holi Milan

On the occasion of Holi festival, a Holi Milan was organized at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad for all the faculty and staff members on 22nd March 2024.

The program was graced by the presence of our Honorable Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha & Honorable Secretary, I.T.S -The Education Group, Shri Bhushan Arora.

The program was followed by High Tea for all the faculty and staff members of I.T.S Parivar.

International Women's Day 2024

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, International Womens Day was celebrated by Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 9th March 2024.

An informative Lecture was organized for all the female Faculty, BDS and MDS students on the topic Cancer Awareness and Women Empowerment by a renowned Radiation- Oncologist, Dr. Ruchi Singh, Senior Consultant, Fortis Hospital, Noida.

Various Activities like Rangoli and Mini Bouquet Competition were organized for Under graduate students. This was followed by a cultural program where students showcased their skills and performed various acts including Solo Songs, Group Song, Poetry and Dance.

A Nukkad Natak was also performed by Undergraduate students on the theme of Women Empowerment.

Cons-Endo Week 2024 Celebrations

Under the able guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, "Cons-Endo Week" was celebrated by Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad from 5th to 8th March 2024.

A series of competitions like Reel Making, Photography, Aesthetic Build-Up, Painting, Dental Quiz, Soap Carving, Single Sitting Endodontics Competition, Rangoli & Slogan Writing competition were held for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. A Nukkad Natak was also performed by the Interns.

The Cons-Endo Week concluded with the felicitation of various event winners. The valedictory function was graced by presence of respected Director-Principal, Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, Heads of Departments and senior faculty members.
