INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DISABLED PERSONS 3rd-Dec-2018

I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar celebrated “International Day of Disabled Persons” on 3/12/18. Ourcollegevisionissame as that of  WHOi.eto promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness about the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. This requires united energy and dedication by the community to accomplish the common goal.

Outreach Activity was conducted in the form of Micro-Group awareness school camp for children at Ghaziabad. A drawing and quiz competition was carried out among children with special needs to showcase their abilities. The students showed great zeal and enthusiasm and showcased heart touching creativity in drawing. Oral hygiene instructions were also given to them including proper brushing technique. The programme ended with prize distribution for the winners of the competition.

AIDS Day Celebration - 1st Dec 2018

"AIDS Day was celebrated by the Department of General Pathology, I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad on 1st December 2018. Various activities to spread education regarding precaution, prevention, emergency management and treatment of AIDS were organized for patients and students in the campus including informative seminars and Nukkad Natak. We thank our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha for providing his support and guidance for conducting this program."

“GHAZIABAD RAHGIRI –EK SATYAGRAHA” 4th Nov 18

Ghaziabad Rahgiri– Ek Satyagraha was organized on 4th Nov 2018, in RDC Ghaziabad, under the able guidance and supervision of  Ms.RituMaheshwari, District Magistrate, Ghaziabad to promote social integration, protect the environment and facilitate sustainable transport, a basic reason for its popularity being that it has been able to bring people of all casts, classes and religion together.

The event was very well received by the public who responded in overwhelming numbers with various schools and colleges participating in the event. The citizens engaged themselves in various recreational and leisure activities and were seen jogging, doing yoga, exercising walking etc. There were additional activities like Music and dance performances, NukkadNatak, Skit and Collage making. The event was also supported by media coverage.

Around 90 students of I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar,including undergraduates, interns and postgraduates participated in the event .The programme was graced by our Hon Vice Chairman, MrArpit Chadha & Director Public Relations –Mr.SurenderSood.

The students indulged themselves in various activities viz: NukkadNatak, Collage making, Rock Band session and Yogasession. The students also made beautiful informative posters and cards depicting the theme “Go Green”,protect the environment which very well appreciated by everyone. The programme was followed by prize distribution ceremony by Ms.RituMaheshwari, District Magistrate, Ghaziabadand the other dignitaries who had graced the occasion.

We are thankful to our Hon.Vice Chairman MrArpit Chadha for promoting exposure to such activities to increase awareness amongst the students of the college.

Inauguration of New Laser & Facial Aesthetic Clinic on 17-10-18

I.T.S Dental College was established in the year 2000 by Dr. R. P. Chadha (Hon’ble Chairman, I.T.S.- The Education Group)  and is located on Delhi-Meerut Road, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad and is one of the premiere institute in the country. Since its inception the institution is committed to provide top notch education to all its students and advanced quality treatment to its patients with a mission "In service for a healthy nation".
The college is NAAC “A” Grade accredited and offers both under-graduate and post-graduate courses in all nine dental specialities. The institute boasts of robust OPD which has been increasing every year so as to ensure that there is maximum exposure to the students. All the departments cater to the basic as well as specialized treatment needs of the patients.
The institute is extensively involved in activities targeted towards social / community development such as organising free dental & health camps, numerous satellite centres, free treatment for Below Poverty Line (BPL) patients, subsidised specialized treatment like dental implants, zirconia crowns etc. and have been awarded for such contributions to society.

The Laser & Facial Aesthetic Clinic was inaugurated on 15th October 2018 in the Department of Periodontology, ITS Dental College, Delhi-Meerut Road, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad. The Chief  Guest for the event was Mr. Arpit Chadha (Hon’ble Vice Chairman,  I.T.S -The Education Group) and Guest of Honour was  Mr. B.K Arora  (Secretary,  I.T.S -The Education Group).The idea of this clinic was brain child of Mr. Arpit Chadha, young and dynamic Vice-Chairman of the institute, who provided his valuable guidance & support for the establishment of this clinic.
Mr. Arpit Chadha said that I.T.S Dental College always tries to provide world class facilities in the field of dentistry to all its patients like CBCT, Oro-facial pain clinic, tobacco cessation centre and this laser & facial aesthetic clinic is one amongst them. He also said that as the awareness amongst the patients is increasing, enhancement of facial and dental beauty is one of the primary elective goals of patients seeking dental care, so our aim is to provide holistic treatment to the patient.
This specialized clinic is first of its kind in the region and would cater to the aesthetic needs of all its patients. This clinic aims at providing smile makeover by perfect and harmonious integration of facial and dental composition. The clinic will provide following facilities:

OBSERVATION OF “GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY 2018”

I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar had particípated in activities with the current year theme “GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY: CLEAN HANDS –A RECIPE FOR HEALTH” on 15/10/18. Our college vision is same as that of World Health Organisation to make World free of diseases which requires collective energy and commitment by the community to achieve the common goal. It can be achieved through proper hand hygiene maintenance. Handwashing is an important part of keeping food safe, preventing diseases, and helping children grow strong. Our tagline, Clean hands – a recipe for health, reminds us to make handwashing a part of every meal.
Outreach Activity was conducted in the form of Micro-Group awareness school camp for children with special needs at Ghaziabad. Children were made aware that disease is preventable and curable. Mere washing of hands can control most of the infections. Proper handwashing technique was demonstrated and its importance was explained to all children at camp venue.

Teacher's Day Celebration-2018

World Breastfeeding Day/Week from 01st August 2018 to 07th August 2018

Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S-CDSR, Murad Nagar organized “World Breastfeeding Day/Week from 01st August 2018 to 07th August 2018.

Sensitization towards the same for all the Female Patient’s Visiting I.T.S- CDSR, Murad Nagar, Surya Hospital, Shezadpur Village, Sultanpur Anganwadi Centre and female faculty & staff members by wearing pink ribbons and breast feeding badges.

Highlights of the “World Breastfeeding Week” was –

  • Presentation on importance of breast feeding
  • Self-examination of breast to assess any carcinogenic changes
  • Pamphlet distribution with information for expectant and lactating mothers regarding importance of breast feeding for their child
  • Breastfeeding badges to mothers, to motivate and reward them as they breast fed their baby

The constant motivation for these Public Health programs are derived from our Honorable Vice Chairman Sir, “Sh. Arpit Chadha” who provide continuous source of encouragement and guidance at each step for the betterment of the community and build a better nation with motto “Tomorrow India – Healthy India”

Oral B lecture on Oral Hygiene Day on 01-Aug-18

Oral Hygiene Day was celebrated on 01.08.18, and Dr Nikhil Sharma, Professor and head, Department of Periodontology, delivered a lecture on  “MODERN DAY APPROACHES TO ORAL HYGIENE” at the Kalpana Chawla Auditorium.
Oral Hygiene day is celebrated as  birthday of Father of Periodontology in India and Founder
Secretary of Indian Society of Periodontology on the 1st August
The interns of the college attended the lecture. The participants were given participation
certificates and compliments from Oral B.

World Hepatitis Day- 28/7/18

Railway Awareness Week 18-July-18

Department of Public Health Dentistry in continuation of "Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan" celebrated "Railway awareness week" for locals and commuters at Murad Nagar Railway station on 18 July 2018. The main motto of the program was to create awareness and sense of responsibility among the community for keeping our surroundings neat and clean. In addition, banners of harmful effects of tobacco were placed for creating awareness regarding deleterious effects of tobacco on oral and general health. For quitting tobacco, they can seek professional help from our institution, I.T.S -CDSR, where Tobacco Cessation Centre is functioning for assistance. I.T.S took installed color coded bins for disposal and segregation of waste at railway station. We sincerely thank our honorable Vice chairman, Mr. Arpit Chadha for taking this noble step for betterment of the community and Nation.

National Public Health Dentistry Day- 19-June-18

Department of Community & Public Health Dentistry Celebrated “National Public Health Dentistry Day” on 19 June 2018. Various activities including Health Camp, Oral health education talk, Oral cancer screening, Diet counseling, Demonstration of tooth brushing, Breast cancer awareness and Distribution of free bags, tooth brush & tooth pastes was carried out in campus and at Satellites to spread awareness regarding oral and general health. This initiative was appreciated and covered by media for spreading a word regarding good health services at minimal cost for the needy at our institution. We thank our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha for providing support for organizing this program.

Felicitation Ceremony - 17-June-18

Felicitation Ceremony was organized for meritorious students of Class 12th securing more than 60% percent marks from nearby schools of Murad Nagar and Modinagar on 17 June 2018. The occasion was graced by our respected Chairman, Dr RP Chadha, respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha. Chief Guests of the occasion were Mr Anil Aggarwal (MP, Rajya Sabha) and Mrs Aasha Sharma (Mayor, Ghaziabad). 200 students were felicitated and were presented certificate of appreciation for their academic achievement. Our respected Vice Chairman congratulated all the students and wished them luck for future. The ceremony was followed by free dental check up and treatment camp for the students.

Our college vision against malaria is same as that of World Health Organisation to make World free of Malaria which requires collective energy and commitment by the community to achieve the common goal.

Outreach Activity was conducted in the form of Micro-Group awareness camp at adopted village Sultanpur. People were made aware that disease is preventable and curable. Causative Factor, symptoms, who are at risk and treatment were explained to them.

At College Students of I.T.S dental college, Muradnagar were given lecture on Promoting Awareness, Prevention, Control and Treatment of Malaria.

World Health Day on 7th April. 2018

 

I.T.S Dental College, Murad nagar celebrated the “World Health Day” on 7th April, 2018 with theme “Universal Health Coverage”. Everyone, Everywhere. Series of activities were carried out at the OPD block of I.T.S-CDSR, Murad Nagar & Arthala Village, Mohan Nagar.

The main highlights of the event were “Free health check-up” inclusive of blood pressure monitoring and screening for Diabetes Mellitus for creating awareness among the people and patients visiting the Institute, “Nukkad Natak” was demonstrated by the students for awareness regarding good oral & general health with motivation on utilization of these services by everyone, everywhere.

The event was conceptualized by Hon’ble Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, with a noble motto to serve underprivileged population of Ghaziabad district. Mr. Chadha further emphasized importance on the maintenance of health and gave few general health tips for the population.

At the camp venue, Arthala, Mohan Nagar

  • Oral & General Health Check-up was carried out.
  • Drawing competition for the school children on this year theme was organized.

Winners of the drawing competition were distributed with prizes and all the children were praised for their effort setting good health examples via drawings.

The event was whole-heartedly supported by the Director-P.G Studies – Dr. Vinod Sachdev and Principal – Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, I.T.S-CDSR, Murad Nagar, with their valuable guidance and quest for excellence in health field to benefit the community.

WHITE COAT CEREMONY & ACADEMIC AWARDS -2018

 

 

The White Coat Ceremony & Annual academic award ceremony was organised by ITS –CDSR in Vikram Sarabhai auditorium on 28th March 2018. The Ceremony involved the official handing over of the White Coat to the BDS 3rd year students, which they use in clinics while treating patients followed by dental oath, where they pledge to follow medical ethics and do beneficence for the patients. Academic awards were also given to the C.C.S University toppers & College toppers from BDS 1st year to BDS Final year, in addition Improvement awards were also distributed for dental undergraduates.


The gathering was addressed by Shri Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice-chairman I.T.S – The Education Group. In his speech, he congratulated and motivated the students to excel in their dental field with incorporation of world class clinical skills & research in their practice. He also emphasised that dental practice is a noble profession and recommended prospective dental surgeons to always follow righteous path in their clinical practice.  This noble tradition is started by the I.T.S, as white coat is a symbol of their commitment to excellence in science and patient care.  

 

Main highlight of the function was that, first time in the history of the I.T.S, total 30 University positions out of 40 were bagged by the I.T.S –CDSR , Muradnagar. This was followed by the Academic improvement awards, to acknowledge the students who have improved significantly in their academic positions as compared to previous year.

 

The event was also graced by Prof. Dr. S.K. Kak, Former Vice- Chancellor of C.C.S University & Maha Maya Technical University, Noida as a chief guest of the occasion. The Dental oath was administered in front of Vice chairman- I.T.S – The Education group & Hon. Chief Guest, the students were inducted in the clinical practice. Dr. Vinod Sachdev, Director – PG studies & Dr. Devicharan Shetty, Principal also graced the event and congratulated all the students and their parents for their achievements.  

“World Oral Health Day 2018, Say Ahh” 20-Mar-18

CELEBRATION OF  “WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY 2018”

            A team of Dentists from Department of Public Health Dentistry, Pedodontics, Oral Pathology ,Oral Medicine,  and Prosthodontics particípated in activities with the current year theme“World Oral Health Day 2018, Say Ahh” on 20/3/18.

An effort to wish everybody a life long and healthy smile by promoting positive oral health behavior was observed in a community based activity conducted for rural people at Sarna Village. The activities were emphasized on a proactive approach to prevent oral diseases and créate oral health promotion among the general population of sarna village.

The following activities were carried out at the camp site :-

  1. Oral health screening was carried out.
  2. Detection of Cancer and precancer lesions by toludine blue stanining & smear examination was done amongpotentially risk group of patients.
  3. Application of Pit & fissure sealant on children.
  4. Primary impression for complete and removable partial denture was done for patients needing prosthesis.
  5. Oral prophylaxis and Extraction was done.
  6. Oral hygiene instructions were given to all patients and importance of oral health was conveyed to all.

DENTIST DAY CELEBRATION 06-March-18

On the occassion of Dentist Day, Chairman of I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha and Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha expressed and conyeved their wishes and blessings  to the staff / students of I.T.S C.D.S.R Muradnagar  who has been serving the country with their noble profession .

The Message of  “ Regular Visit to Dentist in 3 Months – For Healthy Mouth” was conveyed to people through the following activities observed at college premise and camp as initiated by Dr Ipseeta Menon. Series of activities were followed in Institution for OPD and Outreach patients. There was a lecture conducted on importance of oral health maintaince by our postgraduate students for the walk in patients coming to the college OPD and also for the patients coming to our dental camp. Thereafter, follwed by demonstration of  proper brushing technique. After that we had an interactive session with the patients answering their queries related to dental problems and help them modifying their myths related to oral health into reality. Distribution of educational pamphlets were also done. There was also a balloon releasing session along with the selfie click to form a rapport with the patients and to improve the patient dentist realtion with touch of feeling that we care for you and your mouth so don’t hesitate if you have any dental problem we are their to help you any time at I.T.S DENTAL COLLEGE, an instituion dedicted to your complete dental care and health

Annual Convocation Ceremony 24-Feb-18

“Annual Convocation Ceremony – 2018” for I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies & Research, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad, was held for 13th Batch of BDS & 9th Batch of MDS on 24th February, 2018.The event was started by Lamp lightening for invoking the blessings of Maa Saraswati by Honourable Chairman & Vice- Chairman ITS The Education Group Dr. R.P. Chadha & Mr. Arpit Chadha, Chief Guest Gen. (Dr.) V.K. Singh (Union Minister of State For External Affairs, Government of India), Guest of Honour Prof. (Dr.) U.S. Krishna Nayak, (Principal and Dean, A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, Karnataka), Guest of Honour Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Khandal, (Former Vice-Chancellor, U.P. Technical University, Lucknow). During this ceremony, degrees were awarded to 48 Postgraduate & 100 Undergraduate students. The Postgraduate & undergraduate students Excelling in Academics & securing Top 5 Ranks in University were given honours & Facilitated by all the dignitaries. Special guests for the day were children of 8th & 9th Class of Green Land Public School, Murad nagar who were specially invited to watch the Convocation Day. The Chief Guest praised the efforts being made by I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies under the able guidance of our honorable Chairman & Vice Chairman in providing affordable & latest dental treatments for the people of Delhi NCR. He also appreciated the young & dynamic Honorable Vice –Chairman, Mr. Arpit Chadha for the Philanthropic activities which I.T.S – CDSR conducts to achieve its aim of serving underprivileged citizens of Delhi NCR. Achievements made by college under the guidance of our honorable Vice Chairman were highlighted, which included starting of NEET preparation for undergraduate students, international collaboration for Implant sensitization program, incorporation of latest technology, conduction of CME/CDE programs, IAOMR national conference, webinars, Sultanpur village adoption, being awarded the Best Outreach Program Award and celebration of personal milestones of students which were appreciated by the distinguished dignitaries. Special thanks to our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha for motivating the organizing team to conduct this extravagant ceremony.

Alumni meet and Preconvocation Party 22-Feb-18

First outside college Alumni meet and Pre Convocation Bash was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad which was held at The Monarch, Indirapuram Habitat Centre on 22 February 2018 for all our Alumnis and 0utgoing BDS Interns. For the first time, announcement of the Alumni core committee was done which included members of the college and more importantly Alumnis outside college. This formally aimed at creating a stronger alumni network of our institution. Awards were distributed to our distinguished Alumnis. The highlight of the event was the DJ Jam session. Everyone danced to their favourite mixes. Special thanks to our honorable Vice chairman Mr Arpit Chadha, Secretary, Mr BK Arora and the management for taking up this splendid initiative

IOMFS DAY 14-Feb-18

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, I.T.S Dental College Muradnagar, Ghaziabad celebrated the International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Day on 13th Feb 2018. It was attended by the faculty members, BDS and MDS students. Poster competition was conducted by the department on the theme “PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID MAXILLOFACIAL INJURIES IN ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS” for 3rd Year & 4th Year BDS students and awards were given to the best five posters. We would like to thank our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha for providing his support for organizing such events which would spread the importance of different branches of dentistry among students.

World Cancer Day 04-Feb-18

World Cancer Day was observed by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 4th February 2018. The Message of current World Cancer Day Theme on “WE CAN, I CAN” was conveyed to people through the following activities observed at college premise and camp. Series of activities were followed in Institution for OPD and Outreach patients. A rally was conducted by the BDS students making people aware about cancer. Nukkad Natak was also presented for community to understand the factors causing the disease in a fun learning way. A "TALKING HAND CAMPAIGN" Drive was initiated. Students, Faculty and Patients were involved and a message was written on the hand depicting to fight CANCER out of the world. Distribution of educational pamphlets were done. There was a health talk regarding early signs and symptoms of Oral Cancer, habits to quit to avoid the disease, and importance of Tobacco Cessation Clinic was emphasized to all patients. An interactive Health Education session for all OPD patients was done and their queries answered. Our sincere thanks to the Chairman of I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha and Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha, for their valuable support in organizing this event.

Hostel Day Celebration 1st February 2018

Hostel Day celebration was done at ITS Dental College, Murad Nagar on 1st February 2018 at Vikram Sarabhai Auditorium 4:00 PM onwards. The event witnessed the presence of our respected Director – PG Studies Dr. Vinod Sachdev and Principal Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, faculty members, wardens and hostellers of ITS Dental College, Murad Nagar. Hostel is a home away from home for the students and they spend their student lives with their friends at their hostels and take away memories along with them for rest of their lives. This hostel day celebration is another initiative taken by ITS Dental College, Murad Nagar to further sweeten these memories and give students a chance to enjoy such type of recreational activities.

Numerous fun filled events were organized including sports, games, singing, dancing, fashion show and many more. The competitions were followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the winners.To give a twist to the programme games like hogmart, chogmart and blindfold makeup were also organized for students as well as faculty members. Students also expressed their gratitude towards their wardens and presented a token of love to all of them.

Icing on the cake was the DJ session and the dinner.All the students put their dancing shoes and tapped their feet on their favourite numbers in dance party. It was a thrilling vista with everybody dancing with their friends at the dance floor and enjoying themselves to the fullest. The event was followed by a sumptuous dinner. The programme was a grand success in all terms.

Birthday Celebrations January 2018

I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad celebrated Birthdays of the undergraduate and post graduate students who had their birthdays in the month of November, December and January. Event was graced by the presence of our Honorable Vice Chairman, Mr. Arpit Chadha. He congratulated all the students and wished them luck for future. He also emphasized that the college always strives to give the students staying at the hostel, the care and attention which he or she would have got at home on such special milestones. 69th Republic Day Celebrations

Flag hosting ceremony on the occasion of 69th Republic Day celebrations was organized at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 26 January 2018 for all the students and faculty members. The ceremony was graced by the presence of our honorable Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha. His presence signified his pride to be an Indian which will be imbibed by the students of the institution.

Prosthodontics Denture Camp - 12/12/17

On a bright sunny day of 12 December 2017, Department of Prosthodontics, ITS Dental College, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad organized a single day free denture camp where in more than 50 patients participated & got treated. The needy patients came from 5 villages and old age homes around the college. The event witnessed active participation of the department faculty, post graduate students, interns & technicians of the college. Everybody worked together as a team enthusiastically to deliver excellent treatment & care to the patients. The event was a grand success. We thank Dr R P Chadha, Chairman ITS-The education group, and Mr Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, ITS-The education group, for initiating this endeavor and special thanks to our Vice-chairman again for his never ending efforts for the betterment of the society.

Children's day celebration 14-11-2017

Children's day/ Pedodontic day was celebrated by the Department of pedodontic and preventive dentistry. Free dental check up was organised for various school children by the department. All children, interns and PG's participated in drawing competition. Nukad Natak was also performed by post graduate students to spread awareness on Child Abuse and Neglect.

WORLD RADIOLOGY DAY – 08-Nov-17

The World Radiology day was celebrated by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology ITS-CDSR Murad nagar on 8th November 2017. On this occasion, importance of World Radiology Day with emphasis on the history and advancement in the field of radiology was discussed. Following this, a quiz competition was organised comprising of four rounds namely, General Knowledge, Oral Medicine, Oral Radiology and lastly the Caption round. All the teams and the audience participated very enthusiastically. The programme came to an end after the prize distribution by Dr.Vinod Sachdev (Director-PG Studies) and Dr Devicharan Shetty ( Principal ).

National Tooth Brushing Day-7/11/17

Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S –CDSR, Murad Nagar celebrated “National Tooth brushing Day” on 7th November 2017. Around 500 school students of C.S.H.P Memorial Public School, Ghaziabad and 100 school students of Vidavati Samarak Shiksha Niketan school, Ghaziabad were screened for oral diseases. Dental health education session and demonstration of tooth brushing technique was also given. Main objective of this program was to make to rural and urban population of school children aware of the common dental problems and inculcate them with beneficial oral habits.

WORLD ELDERLY DAY 9th Oct 2017

Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S-CDSR, Muradnagar organized “WORLD ELDERLY DAY” on 09th October 2017. The theme for this year was, “Stepping into the Future: Tapping the Talents, Contributions and Participation of Older Persons in Society.”
This year’s day is about enabling and expanding the contributions of older people in their families, communities and societies at large. It focuses on the pathways that support full and effective participation in old age, in accordance with old persons’ basic rights, needs and preferences. Different activities were carried out along with the Oral screening and treatment of the elderly population at Satlok Ahsram, Muradnagar. Elderly people were engaged in different games like: - passing the parcel, balloon games, antakshari / bhajan singing and ludo. Wisdom nuggets and inspirational books were distributed to the winners of the competition. Also, Wisdom Nuggets & Inspirational books like Jeevan Deep, Anmol Vachan compiled by our Honorable Chairman Sir, Dr. R P Chadha, were donated to the Ashram.
Dr. Ipseeta Menon, Dr. Avnish Singh, Dr. Ricky Pal Singh, Dr. Anubhav Sharma, Postgraduates and Interns of Dept. of Public Health Dentistry worked together to make it a success. The program was highly appreciated and it was a step further towards the improvement of Geriatric Population for the Community.

Fresher’s party (Batch 2017-2022) 22nd Sep 2017

Fresher’s party for the Batch 2017-2022 was celebrated on 22nd September 2017 in Vikram Sarabhai auditorium. The Chief Guest of the fresher’s party was Honorable Vice Chairman Shri Arpit Chadha. The freshers batch participated in Mr and Miss fresher contest and this was followed by cultural performances by the freshers and senior batches. Rajat Tyagi was crowned as Mr fresher and Aashi Jain became Miss Fresher. The crowning ceremony of these students was done by Honorable Shri Arpit Chadha along with Dr Vinod Sachdev, Director PG studies & Dr Devicharan Shetty, Principal.

MATA KI CHOWKI 16th Sep 2017

As a tradition at I.T.S – The Education Group, “MATA KI CHOWKI” was organized on the occasion of start of New Academic Session of the 18th Batch of BDS & 12th Batch of MDS to seek blessings of “MAA DURGA” at the I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 16th September, 2017 (Saturday).

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 5th Sep 2017

The program was organized by all the undergraduate and postgraduate students. The entire faculty was welcomed to the Vikram Sarabhai Auditorium with the flowers. The Celebration started with a prayer song and lighting of the lamp by the honorable Vice Chairman, Sh. Arpit Chadha, the Director, Dr Vinod Sachdev and the Principal, Dr Devicharan Shetty. This was then followed by the cake cutting ceremony by all the Head of the Departments. Different cultural programs were performed by the UG and PG students. The students had also organized various games like dumb charades, antakshri and paper dance to be participated by the teachers. It was a very well organized program by all the students and the entire faculty enjoyed a lot.

Orientation Program of BDS 18th Batch (2017-22) 04-Sep-2017

Orientation program for the new BDS students (18th Batch ) was held on 4th September, 2017 at “Vikram Sarabhai Auditorium”. All the students along with their parents were welcomed to the ITS Parivar by the Director, Dr. Vinod Sachdev. Students were given an overview of the institute and taken through a virtual tour of the campus by the Principal, Dr. Devicharan Shetty. Honorable Vice-Chairman, Sh. Arpit Chadha gave the students an insight into the campus life they are embarking into. All the students introduced themselves and shared their views regarding the institute. The parents were highly appreciative of the I.T.S campus and looked glad to have their wards starting their careers at this prestigious institute.

Sultanpur Anganwadi Centre), Anganwadi workers at Sultanpur Village, Female faculty & staff members

by wearing pink ribbons and breast feeding badges were given. Quiz competition was organized for

the Anganwadi workers and female population of Sultanpur Village participated in the program and

winners were awarded with the prizes.

Orientation programme (12th MDS Batch) 02-June-2017

Orientation programme for 12th MDS batch (2017 -2020) was held on 2nd June 2017 at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof K.K Aggarwal, founder Vice-Chancellor Indraprastha University. The Occasion was graced by Honorable Vice Chairman Shri. Arpit Chadha, Director PR- Mr Surender Sood, Director PG studies- Dr Vinod Sachdev & Principal- Dr Devicharan Shetty. New Post graduate students from all over India were a part of this event.

WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY - 31-MAY-2017

On the occasion of “ World No Tobacco Day” having the theme this year as “Tobacco - A threat to development”, I.T.S – College of Dental Sciences & Research organized a series of events to motivate patients, students and general public regarding ill effects of tobacco and complications arising to it.
People were informed and educated about Tobacco related diseases and conditions via Audio-Visual Aids, Health Education Movies, Nukkad Natak, Posters and Pamphlets. Patients were also screened and educated for the Nicotine Replacement therapy. Free distribution of NRT drugs to the patients by Honorable Vice-Chairman , “Shri. Arpit Chadha” , I.T.S-The Education Group.
Dr. Shekhar Grover, Tobacco-Control officer at National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research, Noida conducted a “Tobacco-cessation” session to create Public health awareness, raising a mass movement against tobacco, sensitizing and educating all health care professionals for tobacco control.
A Rally was organized by the Students of the I.T.S – CDSR and Street Play was performed at the College –OPD and Railway Station - Muradnagar. Students also actively participated in Poster making, Rangoli and Real life formation. Director-PG studies, “Dr. Vinod Sachdev” focused on the effective measures for tobacco quitting and Principal, “Dr. Devicharan Shetty” gave a talk regarding how tobacco is hampering the development of the nation.

SUMMER SCHOOL CAMP – VOCATIONAL DENTAL PROGRAM (2nd MODULE) 11-May-17

I.T.S –The Education group organized Second module of “Summer school Camp-Vocational dental program on 11th May 2017. More than 100 school students from Heritage Academy participated in the program.
The students were engaged with lots of clinical and fulfilled activities during the program.

The program was conceptualized by our young and dynamic, Vice-chairman, Shri Arpit Chadha who is the main source of inspiration for the young minds. The program was whole heartedly supported by Director PG studies-Dr.Vinod Sachdev and Principal sir –Dr. Devicharan Shetty.

At the end of the program, feedback was obtained from the participants and certificates were distributed.

Summer School Camp “Vocational Dental Program” - Day-2 (09-May-17)

The Grand Conclusion of the two days summer school camp “Vocational Dental Programme” was carried out on 9th May, 2017. More than 100 students from 3 different schools participated in the programme and were shown different specialties of Medical and Dental Departments. Also the final certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants in concluding programme held at Kalpana Chawla Auditorium by Hon’ble Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group. His whole hearted support and vision had made this programme to see the light of its day. The programme was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with all the 16 Departments.

Annual Alumni Meet 22-April-2017

I.T.S-CDSR celebrated the Alumni Meet on 22nd April 2017. It was held in the college campus at 7pm in the evening. All the faculty members were present to greet the old students who had come from far and wide. A cultural programme was arranged by the present students to entertain them and relive their own old memories.
A total of 156 alumni had come and enjoyed meeting with the faculty and visiting their alma-mater. Two students Dr. Gaurav Singh and Dr. Parul Singh were presented a token of appreciation by Director Dr. Vinod Sachdev for being appointed at an Oncology Centre in Lucknow.
There were 71 alumni present who are either private practioner or academicians associated with other institutes and 25 members came with their spouses & kids. The current graduating batch of students, both under graduates (70) & post graduates (15) were also present to attend their first Alumni meet.
The alumni expressed their gratitude and love for their Alma Mater by enthusiastically penning down their quotes on the “Wall of Alumni” and making us proud.
An event of such a magnitude was solely possible with the support of our Chairman sir, Dr. R.P. Chadha, Vice Chairman Sir, Mr. Arpit Chadha, Management and able guidance of Principal Dr. D.C Shetty and Director Dr. Vinod Sachdev.

Convocation Ceremony 22-April-17

The 12th BDS and 8th MDS Convocation was held at I.T.S-CDSR, Muradnagar, Ghaziabad on 22nd April 2017. The event started off with the procession of the graduating and Post-graduating students, faculty and dignitaries who were looking elegant in their ceremonial robes. The Vice-chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University , Professor N.K Taneja was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. R.P Chadha, Chairman, ITS- The Education Group. Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice-Chairman, ITS- The Education Group graced the occasion with his presence. The dignitaries were introduced by Mr. Surinder Sood, Director PR and welcomed by Dr. Vinod Sachdev, Director PG studies. Dr. Devicharan Shetty, Principal, presented the college report. The degrees and medals were conferred to graduating students after taking the Hippocratic Oath. The best outgoing students were awarded by the dignitaries. It was a day to remember not only for the graduating students but also for their parents. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and a photo session.

Blood Donation Camp 08-April-17

In its unwavering commitment to serve the community I.T.S, one of the India’s leading education Group, Organized a blood Donation Camp at Murad Nagar, Campus in association with Rotary Club, Ghaziabad North on 8th April, 2017, Saturday. The campus witnessed active participation from volunteers of I.T.S-Dental College, I.T.S Pharmacy College & I.T.S Biotechnology College – Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad for this noble cause. 207 units of blood were donated during the camp. Through this Blood donation camp I.T.S aims to raise awareness for the need of safe blood and blood product and to thank students & faculty blood donors for their life saving gifts of blood.
This occasion was whole heartedly supported by honorable Chairman – Dr. R.P.Chadha & Vice Chairman – Mr. Arpit Chadha I.T.S – The Education Group. The whole camp was monitored by the Principal - Dr. Devicharan Shetty. According to estimates from the WHO India needs 12 millions of blood every year. Camps like these are small steps to compensate the shortage of this valuable resource.

WORLD HEALTH DAY–“DEPRESSION – LET’S TALK ABOUT IT” 07-April-17

On the occasion of World Health Day Chairman of I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha and Vice Chairman - Mr. Arpit Chadha expressed their views to the staff / students of I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar regarding the Depression and ways to tackle it. World Health Day is celebrated to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around health and the importance its maintenance.
The theme of this World Health Day 2017 is “Depression – Let’s talk”. Depression is the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide. According to the latest estimates from WHO, more than 300 million people are now living with depression, an increase of more than 18% between 2005 and 2015. Lack of support for people with mental disorders, coupled with a fear of stigma, prevent many from accessing the treatment they need to live healthy, productive lives. The overall goal of the campaign is that more people with depression, everywhere in the world, both seek and get help.
I.T.S- CDSR celebrated World Health Day on 07th April 2017. Based on this year’s theme “Depression – Let’s Talk” the Department of Public Health Dentistry had organized a series of events for faculty and post graduate students.

The events were conducted by Seema Bhasin (Art of Living Faculty & Yoga Alliance International Certified Yoga Teacher). She has carried out various programs Nationally and Internationally.

WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY 20-03-17

On the occasion of World Oral Health Day Chairman of I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha and Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha expressed their views to the staff / students of I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar regarding the importance of oral health maintenance in our daily life.

World Oral Health Day is celebrated to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene to looking after everyone old and young.The World Oral Health Day message was conveyed to the community and school children of Sultanpur Village. The theme of this World Oral Health Day 2017 is “Live Mouth Smart”. It is estimated that 90% of the world’s population will suffer from oral diseases in their lifetime and many of them can be avoided with increased governmental, health association and society support and funding for prevention, detection and treatment programmes. Oral Health Day on 20th March 2017, I.T.S Dental College organised a Mega Camp at Village Sultanpur. Following activities were carried out :-

Oral Screening was carried out for the community.
Street Play, Oral Hygiene Sessions, Health Talk was carried out by the faculty members undergraduate students, interns for spreading awareness regarding oral health and physical health.
For Edentulous patients, Denture Fabrication was carried out at the venue.
Pit & Fissure Sealants application in the children's for prevention of dental decay.

Total 374 patients were screened and treated. Thus, the aim was to get everyone recognise the impact of their oral health has on overall physical health and well-being to help inspire this change. The Program was Jointly carried out by Faculty, Post graduates, Undergraduates and Interns of Dept.of Public Health Dentistry, Dept. of Prosthodontics, Dept. of Pedodontics, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology.

“Live Mouth Smart” – Special Camp 23-March-17

In continuation of World Oral health Day – 2017, “Live Mouth Smart”. I.T.S Dental College, Muradnagar organised a Special Camp on 23-03-2017 to cater the needs of “Special Children” at Aashavidyalyay, Ingrham School (Ghaziabad). The program was carried by Dept. of Public Health Dentistry, Total 103 patients were screened, 41 Oral Prophylaxis, 17 Restorations, 11 Intra-oral Radiograph, 07 APF Gel application and 03 Extractions. Drawing competition was also organized and winners were distributed with prizes.

White Coat Ceremony & Annual Academic Awards 21-March-17

The White Coat Ceremony, marking the entry of III BDS students to the undergraduate clinical programme, was organised in Vikram Sarabhai auditorium on 21st March 2017. The Ceremony involved the official handing over of the White Coat to students, which they use in clinics while treating patients. The annual academic awards were also presented to the meritorious students of BDS and MDS at the same event. Faculty of ITS Dental and College, parents and students of III BDS and the awarded students of all batches attended the function.
The programme began with procession of the IIIrd year batch into the auditorium followed by a prayer invoking the almighty. This was followed by distribution of certificates to the whole batch. Dr. Vinod Sachdev, PG Director, welcomed the gathering and said that wearing a white coat not only showed the world that the person was a doctor, but also reflected one's calling. He said that it was the duty of the doctor to put the needs of others above one's own.
Prof. Sanjeev Kumar administered the dental oath. He urged the students to respect the white coat as it is a symbol of their commitment to excellence in science and patient care.
The Principal, Dr. Devi Charan Shetty announced the academic awards which were graciously presented to the students by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries on the dias. The highlight of the day was the acknowledgement of those students who had shown significant improvement of their previous rank in class.
Mr. Arpit Chaddha, Vice Chairman of ITS Education Trust, urged the students to practice dentistry ethically and maintain dignity and decorum.
The Chief Guest of the Ceremony was Dr. Dhirendra Srivastava, senior maxillofacial surgeon of Delhi and Dean of ESIC Dental College. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Srivastava said that the colour white is a symbol of truth, piousness, knowledge and cleanliness. Through examples, he gave several mantras to the students to follow in clinical situations.
The programme was capped with a vote of thanks from Prof. Harsha Jain followed by the National Anthem.

MATA KI CHOWKI - 04th March 2017

Continuing with its tradition of seeking blessings from the Almighty for commencement of new batch, I.T.S- The Education Group organized ‘MATA KI CHOWKI’ at its Muradnagar campus on 04/03/2017. Dr. R.P. Chadha, Chairman and Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S. - The Education Group graced the occasion. All faculty & management members along with their families, postgraduate & undergraduate students and parents of fresh batch BDS students attended the programme. The programme started with Aarti followed by devotional songs. The prayer for prosperity & well being of every one was followed by “Prasad” and “dinner”.

PG Day- 17-18 February, 2017

I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad (Del-NCR) celebrated “PG Day” on 17-18 February, 2017. This event was celebrated for the First time at ITS. The entire event was planned by Mr. Arpit Chadha (Vice Chairman, ITS – The Education Group).
The event was inaugurated by Lamp lighting by Dr Vinod Sachdev (Director, PG Studies, I.T.S-CDSR) and Dr Devi Charan Shetty (Principal, I.T.S-CDSR).
Faculty members and students had a gala evening and many events were organized. On 17th February all the sports events were organised and on 18th February, Stage performances were done by post graduate students from all batches. Second year Postgraduate batch won the trophy for best overall performance. This was followed by a DJ night and dinner for all the faculty and students. It was a wonderful evening and the entire faculty, students and management of ITS-CDSR enjoyed the event.
This activity has been made as a part of annual celebration by the group. It promotes harmony among the postgraduate students of all the departments.
