Webinar-Prosthodontics

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, a Webinar was organised by Department of Prosthodontics and Oral Implantology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 12th April 2024.

The speaker of the program was Dr. Umesh Pai, Associate Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore who talked on the topic Immediate Implant Placement: From Planning to Execution.

The objective of the Webinar was to broadened the horizon about the concept of Immediate Implant Loading which causes less trauma, Reduction in overall treatment time, Decrease in Hard and soft tissue resorption along with better function, aesthetics & has a psychological benefit as well.

The program was attended by Deans, Head of Departments, Faculty Members & Post Graduate Students.

Third Module of 8th Advanced Oral Implantology Course 2023-24

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted the Third Module of 8th Advanced Oral Implantology Course 2023-24 in collaboration with CWM Implants, South Korea on 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th April 2024.

The mentors for this course were Dr. Basant Gupta, Leading Prosthodontist & Implantologist along with other faculty from I.T.S. Dental College, Ghaziabad who have vast knowledge in the field of Oral Implantology and are conducting such courses regularly.

The Third Module comprised of extensive lectures & Clinical Case Discussions on Prosthetic Components, Materials & Impressions in Oral Implantology, Implant Occlusion, Prosthesis Design along with stage II implant surgery, Osseodensification, Surgical & Prosthetic Complications.

A Live Demonstration & Hands-On session for open and closed tray impression technique for oral implantology was also conducted.

Second Module of Interns Ascendancy & Enhancement Program 2023 by Department of Oral Surgery

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, Second Module of Interns Clinical Ascendancy & Enhancement Program 2023 was organized by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 28th & 29th February 2024.

The topic for the module was Basic Minor Oral Surgery.

The programme consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on Basic Minor Oral Surgery procedures like Transalveolar and mandibular impacted third molar extraction.

This was followed by Live Demonstrations for Surgical Extraction of Third Molar on cast & patient.

The exclusive and one of a kind programme is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of interns in Basic Minor Oral Surgery Procedures.

Second Module of Interns Ascendancy & Enhancement Program 2023 by Department of Periodontology

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Second Module of Interns Clinical Ascendancy & Enhancement Program 2023 was organized by Department of Periodontology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 28th & 29th February 2024.

The topic for the module was Laser and Magnification in day to day Periodontics.

The programme consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on Microsurgical Instruments, Surgical Microscope, Laser Safety & Laser in Periodontics.

This was followed by Demonstration on working of Operative Microscope & Live Surgical demonstration of Root Coverage procedure using microscope & Laser Depigmentation was also conducted.

This was followed by a Hands-On Workshop on suturing on chicken legs under operative microscope.

The exclusive and one of a kind programme is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of interns in Laser and Microsurgical dentistry.

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, a Webinar was organised by Department of Conservative & Endodontics, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 5th March 2024.

The speaker of the program was Col. Dr. Sonali Sharma, Professor & Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Chennai who spoke on the topic Balancing the Upstream and Downstream Approach of Caries Management.

She gave insights about Dental Caries and the factors responsible in balancing the causative factor of caries progression. She also focused on different modalities of caries management & its advancements.

The webinar was attended by Post Graduate Students, Interns, Heads of all departments and Faculty members.

This was followed by Live Demonstration & Hands-on session on Stainless Steel Crown application for the participants.

Alumni Guest Lecture by Dr Gunjan Jain

As a part of the Alumni Guest Lecture Series, an informative Lecture was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 27th February 2024 under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha.

The speaker for the guest lecture was our distinguished Alumni, Dr. Gunjan Jain (BDS 2015-21), Consultant Aesthetic Physician, AAYNA Clinic, New Delhi who spoke on the topic Navigating the intersection of Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics.

The lecture provided an insight regarding various new emerging prospectives in the field of dentistry and how dentists can bridge the gap between dentistry and facial aesthetics as a branch.

The program was attended by around 120 participants including Faculty Members, Interns & BDS students.

Fourth Module of 2nd Advanced Facial Aesthetics Course 2023-24)

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted the Fourth Module of 2nd Advanced Facial Aesthetics Course 2023-24 in collaboration with Center for Facial Aesthetics Training (CFAT), New Delhi and Novgorod State University, Russia on 21st & 22nd February 2024.

The mentors for this course were Dr. Shourya Sharma, Dr. Arun Srinivasan, Dr. Melwin Johnson & their team who have vast knowledge in the field of Facial Aesthetics and are conducting such courses regularly.

The Fourth Module comprised of extensive lectures, Live Demonstration & Hands-on Workshop on patients for Botox and its advanced application in the treatment of facial ageing, Various types of Chemical peels & Advanced applications of Deep Depth Peels.

The programme was attended by around 35 participants including Private Practitioners, College Alumni, Dentists, Post Graduate Students and Interns from various colleges.

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Second Module of Interns Clinical Ascendancy & Enhancement Program 2023 was organized by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 16th & 17th January 2024.

The topic for the module was An Update from Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques in Research and Diagnosis.

The programme consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on Role of Genomics in Research Methodology, DNA Isolation and its significance in fundamental research, PCR thermo cycler usage in Dentistry & Research.

This was followed by Demonstrations & Hands-On workshop on DNA isolation, Gel Preparation,Usage of PCR Thermo cycler and UV transilluminator.

The exclusive and one of a kind programme is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of interns in the application of advanced molecular diagnostic aids of research in dentistry.

Minimal Competency Exam by Dept. of Pedodontics

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad hosted a Minimal Competency Exam on Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation sedation on 31st January 2024.

Dr. Sukhdeep Singh was the esteemed external resource person for the Competency Exam. Dr. Sukhdeep Singh is an expert in Nitrous Oxide Sedation & is a Professor & Head, Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry at School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida. He has over 28 years of experience and has been working with nitrous oxide inhalation sedation and providing training for it since almost a decade.

Six outgoing Third year Post Graduate Students were assessed on their theoretical and clinical knowledge about Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation sedation by Dr. Sukhdeep Singh.

The students got a first hand clinical exposure from the esteemed external expert on Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation Sedation which gave them immense confidence in performing cases under sedation single handedly.

The topic for the module was CBCT- Insight into Three Dimensional Maxillofacial Imaging.

The programme consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on CBCT in Endodontics, Spectrum of CBCT Imaging-Case discussion.

This was followed by Demonstrations & Hands-On workshop on CBCT in Endodontics, Impacted Third Molars, Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Trauma.

The exclusive and one of a kind programme is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of interns to read & interpret the CBCT images and to improve the Interns clinical abilities in the Imaging field.

The topic for the module was Oral Diseases Risk Assesssment for Prevention and Early Intervention.

The programme consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on Epidemiology of Periodontal Diseases, Risk Assessment related to Oral Cancer and Tooth Wear.

This was followed by Demonstrations & Hands-On workshop on usage of PRA tool for Periodontal Risk Assessments & BEWE and TWES tool for Tooth wear risk assessment using clinical scenarios and patients.

Mannequin Training Program

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, a Mannequin Training Program was organised by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad from 26th to 28th December 2023.

The objective of this program was to enable Post Graduate Students to comprehend the importance of Intramuscular and Intravenous Injections, emphasizing the significance of expertise in Intramuscular and Intravenous drug delivery in routine clinical practices.

The program consisted of insightful & extensive Lectures on administration of Intramuscular & Intravenous injections followed by Live Demonstration & Hands-On workshop on mannequins for refining injection administration skills.

The exclusive and one of a kind programme was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Post Graduate Students in Intramuscular and Intravenous injection techniques.

Basic Life Support Workshop

Under the proficient leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, a Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop was organised in collaboration with Navbharat Times on 19th December 2023 at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad.

The primary objective of this program was to make students understand the importance of early responding and taking prompt action while dealing with an unresponsive or unconscious patient.

It also aimed at educating students to perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) independently and appropriately.

The program was attended by all BDS Third Year and Final Year Students.

Alumni Guest Lecture- Dr. Swati Sharma, MDS Orthodontics

As a part of the Alumni Guest Lecture Series, an informative Lecture was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 20th December 2023 under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha.

The speaker for the guest lecture was our distinguished Alumni, Dr. Swati Sharma (MDS 2017-20, Orthodontics) who spoke on the topic Printing Dentistry 3 Dimensionally.

The lecture provided an insight to the students on various uses of 3D printing in Dentistry & the steps involved in it. The participants were also made aware about the various types of 3D printers that are available in the Indian market.

The program was attended by around 140 participants including Faculty Members, Interns & BDS Final Year students.

This was followed by Demonstrations for Interns on Application of various Matrices systems for Posterior Class II & Putty index preparation for Anterior Class IV Restoration, Composite Restoration of Class II cavity and Management of Deep Margin Elevation.

A Hands-on workshop was also conducted on "Wax Pattern Fabrication and Spruing for FDP.

Dental College, Ghaziabad who have vast knowledge in the field of Oral Implantology and are conducting such courses regularly.

The Second Module comprised of extensive lectures & Clinical Case Discussions on Guided Bone Regeneration with bone grafting, Treatment planning, Anatomy of maxilla &mandible, Direct & Indirect Sinus Lift Procedures, Peri-Implant Mucosa & Soft Tissue Augmentation.

A Live Demonstration & Hands-On session for different Suturing Techniques, Guided Bone Regeneration, Block Graft & Connective Tissue Graft Placement and Sinus Lift on Goats Head was also conducted.

As a part of the Alumni Guest Lecture Series, an informative Lecture was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 4th October 2023 under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha.

The speaker for the guest lecture was our distinguished Alumni, Dr.Mehak Nagpal Sharma (MDS 2012-15, Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry) who spoke on the topic Pedopreneurship- Journey to Exclusive Pediatric Dental Practice Management.

Dr. Mehak explained that Pedopreneurship begins with a deep passion for childrens oral health and a commitment to providing them with the best dental care possible. She also discussed as Pedopreneurs we develop a keen understanding of business management, marketing and patient engagement, essential components in establishing a successful pediatric dental practice.

The program was attended by around 150 participants including Undergraduate students of BDS 4th Year, Interns along with faculty members.

Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted the 1st Module of 8th Comprehensive Oral Implantology Course 2023-24 in collaboration with Kyung Hee University, Seoul & CSM Implants, South Korea on 19th, 21st & 22nd August 2023.

Campus Placement Drive 2023-Clove Dental

Under the exemplary leadership of our Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, a Campus Placement Drive was conducted by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad in association with leading Corporate Dental chain, Clove Dental on 17th August 2023.

The drive provided a robust platform to our graduates and post graduates for career development and employment opportunities to them.

Under the able leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organized a CDE program cum Workshop on "Digital Health Technology for Tobacco Cessation" on 27th July 2023.

The distinguished guest speaker for the program was Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha, PT-Professor at the Longo Faculty of Business Humber College, CEO - GIPHI.

A lecture was conducted which included the various ways to tackle Tobacco cessation with the utilisation of digital technique which was followed by Hands-on of Digital Application "START" to the participants to handle complex patients who were in a habit smoking or chewing tobacco and learn about diagnosis and evaluation of these patients.

The program was attended by more than 100 participants from various parts of the country including Post Graduate students, Faculty Members and private practioners which was a enriching and insightful experience for all the participants.

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted the 4th Module of 7th Comprehensive Oral Implantology Course 2022-23 in collaboration with University of Barcelona, Spain and GMI Implants Spain on 28th June, 30th June & 1st July 2023.

The mentor for this course was Dr. Varun Raj Kamat, a renowned Prosthodontist & Implantologist from Mumbai, who shared his clinical experience, skills & knowledge with all the course participants.

The Fourth Module comprised of extensive lectures on Advanced Prosthetic Rehabilitation, Live Surgical Demonstration, Clinical case discussions, demonstration of Intra-oral scanning techniques, and hands on sessions on Digital Scanning techniques for all the participants which was followed up by the valedictory function.

An Intregrated Post Graduate Clinical Workshop on CBCT

Under the able guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, An Intregrated Post Graduate Clinical Workshop on CBCT was organised by Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 13th & 15th May 2023 for Second Year Post Graduate Students.

The objective of the workshop was training of the Post Graduate students to read and interpret the CBCT images.

BLS Workshop

Under the proficient leadership of our Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, a Hands-on Workshop on Basic Life Support was organised in collaboration with American Heart Association on 10th-11th April 2023 at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad.

The aim of the workshop was to educate the participants about the correct techniques and assessment skills for providing Basic Life Support.

The program consisted of lectures and practical demonstration of correct technique of CPR in adults and Infants followed by practical exercise on the full Basic Life Support, Use of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

The program was attended by 40 participants including Post Graduate students and Faculty Members.

Under the able leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry organized "Hypno-Sed", a CDE programme and Workshop on Hypnodontics and I.V Sedation on 28th March 2023.

The guest speakers for the program were Dr. Puja Sabherwal, MDS (Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry), Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and
Dr. Sakshi Mahajan, MD Anesthesiology.

The objective of this comprehensive program was to up skill the knowledge of the students and faculty members about the hypnosis techniques and I.V sedation for dental procedures.

Dr. Puja Sabherwal explained the intricacies of Hypnosis including the theory of mind and neuroscience behind hypnosis, common hypnosis techniques and hypnosis in dental clinic with video demonstration.

Dr. Sakshi Mahajan gave a deep insight about the I.V Sedation which included deep sedation drugs and techniques and General anesthesia for dental procedures.

The program was attended by more than 150 participants including Private Practitioners, Faculty members, Post Graduate Students and Interns.

An Intregrated Post Graduate Clinical Workshop on CBCT

Under the able guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, An Intregrated Post Graduate Clinical Workshop on CBCT was organised by Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 23rd-24th March 2023 for Third Year Post Graduate Students.

The objective of the workshop was training of the Post Graduate students to read and interpret the CBCT images.

Various case scenarios were discussed with the students using Hands-On training and also highlighted relevant interpretation to improve the PGs clinical abilities in the Imaging field.

Workshop on CT & MRI, TMJ: Demystifying The Joint" on 16th February 2023.

Under the leadership of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organised a Workshop on CT & MRI, TMJ: Demystifying The Joint" on 16th February 2023.

The guest speaker for the program was Dr. Vijay K Asrani, An Alumnus of GDC Ahmedabad and a renowned TMD specialist and Oral Radiologist practicing specifically on Orofacial Pain in Ahmedabad.

The lecture series was followed by the hand-on workshop where basics of MRI and CT interpretation were first discussed and then the participants did through work up on both CT and MRI cases individually under guidance & supervision of Dr. Vijay K. Asrani.

The program comprehensively covered all aspects of MRI and CT imaging in TMJ and Oro-facial disorders and covered all aspects of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders.

The program was attended by more than 74 delegates from around 15 dental colleges, pan India and included faculty members, private practitioners, PG students and interns.

Minimal Competency Exam

Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad hosted a Minimal Competency Exam on Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation sedation on 10th February 2023.

Dr.(Prof.) Shalini Garg was the esteemed external resource person for the competency exam. She is acclaimed as a pioneer in propagating and training about Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation sedation with over 23 years of teaching experience.

Six outgoing Third year Post Graduate Students were assessed on their theoretical and clinical knowledge about Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalation sedation by Prof Dr. (Prof.) Shalini Garg.

The students got first-hand clinical exposure from the esteemed external expert on Nitrous oxide-oxygen inhalation sedation which gave them immense confidence in performing cases under sedation single-handedly.

As a part of the Alumni Guest Lecture Series, an informative Lecture was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 10th January 2023 under the leadership of Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha.

The speaker for the guest lecture was our distinguished Alumni, Dr. Nupur Ketan (MDS 2014-17) who spoke on the topic "Use of Botox in Facial Esthetics".

The speaker talked about the different treatment modalities in facial Aesthetics and also discussed about the importance of Facial Aesthetics in day to day dental practice.

Endo CDE program on Direct Composites

Under the aegis of our Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri.Arpit Chadha, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, I.T.S. Dental College, Ghaziabad, organised a Continued Dental Education program on Direct Composites" on 1st December, 2022.

The Guest Speaker of the event was an eminent International speaker, Dr. Tatiana Repetto Bauckhage from Lima, Peru.

The objective of this comprehensive program was to upskill the knowledge and hand work of the budding dentists in doing predictable direct composite restorations.

The lecture was followed by a live demonstration on placing direct composites in an efficient manner without compromising on performance and esthetics.

The program was attended by over 60 participants and well appreciated.

Damon Course Module

Under the aegis of our Honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha, the Department of Orthodontics at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organized the Fourth and final module of comprehensive One year Damon Course on 17th November 2022.

Dr. C.S. Ramachandra, a leading expert in this system with more than 30 years of experience conducted the session.

Dr. C. S Ramachandra showed his cases emphasizing the intricacies of the technique & provided his expert opinion and suggestions on cases treated with the Damon appliance and technique by the participants.

The mentors for this course were, Dr. Shourya Sharma, and their team in association with Center for Facial Aesthetics Training (CFAT) and Pskov State University.

This comprehensive course aimed to prepare the participants to successfully integrate Dermal fillers, Thread lifts, Laser hair reduction, Botox, Chemical peels andother facial esthetics treatments into the practice in future.

A CDE Programme on An apprenticeship of Forensic Odontology organised by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad

Under the leadership of our honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Mr Arpit Chadha, a CDE Programme on An apprenticeship of Forensic Odontology was organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 18 -21st July, 2022.

The mentor for this course was Dr. Ashith B. Acharya, Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Odontology, SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad.

The course was attended by 44 participants including private practitioners, our college alumni, post-graduate students and Interns from various colleges.

This comprehensive, four day CDE Programme prepared the participants to handle their social responsibility of detection and reporting of cases requiring the key role of a Forensic odontologist.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAM

I. T. S Centre for Dental Studies and Research hosted a MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAM , on June 23, 2022. The program's goal was to raise public awareness about mental health issues. Thissession was attended by all Interns and Final YearStudents.

Dr. R. K. Gupta (Nodal Officer, National Health Program, Ghaziabad) shed light on the mental illness issues that students face in this COVID 19 era. In addition, he made an effort to clearly teach the students how to deal with stress in their daily lives. The students were also sensitized about how to connect their nearby help centers incase of any help regarding the mental health issues.

The session was very interactive as the studentsshared their problems and clarified their doubts. "Under the aegis of honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha, the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organized a Workshop on “Importance of Intellectual Property Rights in Dentistry” on 26th November, 2021.
This workshop was aimed at stepping on to the next level of research that has always been a major focus of the institute. The speakers for the workshop were Mr. Govind Sharma (Ex-Chief, National Research Development Corporation, New Delhi), Mrs. Pooja Kumar (Registered Patent Agent, Govt of
India, Founder & Director, Innove Intellects LLP) and Mrs. Somya Kaushik (Handling Projects related to Patent Filing). The program started with the introduction of the speakers to the gathering. A series of enlightening presentations regarding Patent registration and its procedure were delivered.
Mr Govind Sharma delivered a detailed lecture on “Introduction to IPR and Technology Transfer”. Mrs. Pooja Kumar gave an elaborate insight on “Filing procedures in India”. Mrs. Somya Kaushik spoke about "Searching and drafting procedures for Patents”. The workshop was attended by

"Under the guidance of our honorable Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha, the Department of Periodontics, I. T. S Dental College Ghaziabad organized a Workshop on the topic "Advanced Facial Esthetics" on 15 November 2021.

Renowned Dermatologist, Dr. Ajay Rana and leading speaker, Mr Amar Matlani were the course mentor who gave a valuable insight into the importance and application of facial esthetics in current clinical practice.

The workshop was attended by 150 participants including B. D. S & M. D. S students and faculty.

1st Module Implantology Course 2021-22

World Orthodontic Day Celebrations

"Under the aegis of our honorable Vice Chairman Mr Arpit Chadha, "World Orthodontic Day" was celebrated by the Department of Orthodontics, I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad on 5th October 2021.

A webinar was organized for post graduate students and faculty members of all the departments on the topic “Introduction to Clear Correct, Case Selection, Patient Evaluation & predictability of tooth movement”. Eminent speaker, Dr. Prateek Daga was the keynote speaker.

With special focus on the young minds and a series of exemplary cases, Dr. Prateek simplified a complicated yet important topic. He discussed the latest protocols recent advances in the field.

Multiple other activities like “Smile Competition” and “Meme making Competition” were also organized that saw more than 100 entries from Undergraduate students.

" Under the guidance of our Honorable Vice Chairman Mr Arpit Chadha, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad organised a webinar on 7th September 2021 by renowned speaker Dr. Monica M. on the topic “Soft Skills: an aid to quality dental care”.

The webinar aimed at discussing ways to enhance soft skills which would in turn increase the clinical proficiency and help in building up a good clinical practice. She also enlightened the delegates about how to incorporate soft skills in dental practice during this COVID 19 era.

The webinar was attended by more than 100 delegates including post graduates, Final year B.D.S students and faculty members of I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad. An extensive interactive session followed the webinar.

Dr. Hari Parkash Oration Lecture 2021-22 was hosted by I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad on 18th August 2021.

The programme commenced with the inaugural address by Dr. Hari Parkash (Professor Emeritis & Ex-Director General, I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad and Ex-Chief of Centre for Dental Education and Research, AIIMS, New Delhi.)

Dr. Ajay Logani (Professor, Division of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Centre of Dental Education, AIIMS, New Delhi) presented the keynote lecture on “Alternative clinical approaches for managing pulpless and pulpally involved permanent teeth.”

The scientific deliberation was attended by all faculty members, postgraduate students and 4th year BDS students of I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad, with total registrations exceeding 200 participants.

Dr Mohit Pal was live in conversation with the students and faculty of I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad giving his precious insights regarding importance of "Palliative Care”.

He showed detailed videos on positive results of Palliative Care on critically ill patients. He also highlighted the significant role Dentists can play in managing such patients.

"A 3 day specialized course on “COVID-19 Home Care Management (CHCM)” was organized on 19-21 May 2021 by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad under the guidance of honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Mr Arpit Chadha.

The program witnessed an overwhelming response with more than a thousand registrations which included not only the students and their parents but a large number of people from the general public.

Webinar on "IZC/BSS screws"

" A hands-on workshop was organized by the Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, I.T.S. Dental College, Ghaziabad on the topic " IZC/BSS screws " by distinguished speaker Dr. Rajesh Patil on 28th January 2021.

Dr Patil gave the insights about case selection uses of IZC/BSS Screws. Lecture was followed by a hands on workshop in the Artificial Simulation Laboratory where each student got the first hand experience of using this novel innovation.

A live demonstration of screw placement was done by Dr. Patil on patients which further enhanced the student`s knowledge.

"Under the able leadership of our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha, I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad hosted the grand Online Orientation program to welcome the 15th Batch of MDS students for the session of 2020-2023 on 28th July, 2020.

Dr Rajesh is Professor and Head in Department of Public Health Dentistry at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. He has innovated a Digital Thermoelectric Device and Novel Delivery System of Defluoridation of Water. He has been awarded with various Grants by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and UK India Educational Research Initiative (UKIERI) for his research work. The webinar was aimed at the use of various research designs in carrying out research studies. He focused basically on two types of research designs i.e Observational and Experimental. He stated the significance of research topics with simple examples and the importance of a questionnaire in a study to resolve ambiguity. The speaker of the session was our distinguished alumni, Dr. Prafull Das Gupta who is currently enrolled in DMD Advanced Standing program at the prestigious Boston University after clearing the National Boards (U.S.) part 1 and part 2, both in single attempt each. Dr. Prafull is a graduate and Gold Medalist from K.G.M.U, Lucknow (2008) and is a Certified Clinical Research Fellow from A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi (2009). He completed his Master’s in Dental Surgery in Periodontology from I.T.S Ghaziabad in 2013 and worked as a Senior Resident in K.G.M.U for a year. "Huge press coverage of the Alumni Webinar on “Precision Implantology as we know it…or do we?" organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad under the guidance of our honorable Vice Chairman Mr Arpit Chadha on 6th June, 2020 by our distinguished alumni, Dr. Prafull Das Gupta. Dr Prafull is pursuing DMD Advanced Standing program at the prestigious Boston University after clearing the National Boards (U.S.). Dr. Prafull is a graduate and Gold Medalist from K.G.M.U, Lucknow (2008) and is a Certified Clinical Research Fellow from A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi (2009). He completed his Master’s in Dental Surgery in Periodontology from I.T.S Ghaziabad in 2013 and worked as a Senior Resident in K.G.M.U for a year. During the webinar, Dr Prafull emphasized on precision Implantology with integration of digital techniques into our day to day practice. He also briefed about various guided methods for implant placement such stents, live navigation and via robotic guidance. "It was a proud moment for all of us at I.T.S Ghaziabad to host a Live chat with the talented Indian cricketer Mr. Piyush Chawla on 27th May, 2020. The session was filled with enthusiasm for all members of the audience as Mr Piyush Chawla shared his initial days of representing India in U-19 team at a very young age of 15. He also spoke aboug being a part of other teams including the Uttar Pradesh U-22 squad and the Central Zone team. Discussion about his landmark moments like the Iconic World Cup Win of 2011, and getting the opportunity to play for famous teams like Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings in IPL were cherished by all cricket lovers. It was a very interactive session where inquisitive students put up many questions to the cricketer. He shared multiple interesting stories of the epic matches he was part of, specially the story when he bowled out the legendary Mr Sachin Tendulkar at a very young age of 16 and the interactions in the dressing room. He also told students to give education equal importance as sports. International Webinar on “Light-Based Diagnostic and Laser-Assisted Treatment of Oral Mucosal Lesions”

"As a continuation of the International Webinar series of I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology had organized a webinar on 26th May 2020 on the topic “Light-Based Diagnostic and Laser-Assisted Treatment of Oral Mucosal Lesions” by Dr. Georgi Tomov, Department of Oral Pathology, Medical University, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Dr. Georgi Tomov obtained Master's degree in Dental Medicine with Summa Cum Laude honor from the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 2004. He has PhD(2009) and MSc in Endodontics (2008) and Periodontology (2019). In 2012, he was appointed as Associate Professor and currently serves as Head of Oral Pathology Department at the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Plovdiv, as well as Director of the University Laser Dental Center. Assoc. Prof. Tomov is also President of Bulgarian Dental Laser Society, Executive Board member of the ISLD (International Society for Laser Dentistry) and active lecturer on laser dentistry in Europe and Asia. The scientific interests and clinical practice of Dr. Tomov are focused on Oral Pathology, Periodontology and Laser applications in dental medicine. He is an author of over 40 full-text publications in specialized dental journals, major researcher in six scientific projects and co-author in four textbooks.
In his presentation, he focused on Light-Based Diagnostic and Laser-Assisted Treatment of Oral Mucosal Lesions. Light-based imaging of the oral soft tissues provides early detection of minimal changes such as expression of specific biomarkers, tissue architecture and composition, vascularity and perfusion. In the lecture, he also focused on the principles behind laser technologies, their feasibility and applicability for oral soft tissues, and their potential usefulness as a tool in the diagnosis and treatment of oral mucosal lesions.The webinar was attended by more than 120 participants including Interns, Postgraduate students and faculty members of various departments. At the end of the webinar, the post graduate students and dental faculty actively participated in the interactive session with Dr. Tomov. "Legendary Former Indian Cricketer Madan Lal who was a member of the 1983 World Cup Winning Team and Indian National Cricket Coach was live in conversation with our Students and faculty on 18th May 2020. The talk was attended by more than 250 participants from I.T.S Ghaziabad including students and faculty members. The seasoned cricketer shared his life experiences with all the participants including stories from India's epic victory of 1983 World Cup which is cherished by all the cricket fans. He also shared some interesting dressing room stories from his cricketing days with the audience. He stressed on the importance of being postive and optimistic to be successful in life. He also motivated the participants to take the opportunities that come their way. The session was very interactive where all participants had put up numerous questions which were answered very patiently by Mr Madan Lal. The students gave excellent feedback for the program. As a part of the ongoing International Webinar Series, the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry organised a Webinar on “Managing Pain and Anxiety in Paediatric Dentistry- The Biopsychosocial Approach” by seasoned Paediatric Dentist from Canada, Dr. Sharat Chandra Pani on 16th May 2020. Dr. Pani is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Western Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the advisory council to the Chief Dental Officer of Canada and is part of a team seeking to establish the epidemiological extent of oral disease across Canada. Dr. Pani is also a reviewer for various journals including the Journal of Dental Education, the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care in Dentistry and several others. He is a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Disability and Oral Health and has authored several papers on the oral health of individuals with special health care needs. He has lectured at various national and international platforms. The webinar was a perfect blend of theoretical and clinical aspects to Managing Pain and Anxiety in Paediatric Dentistry which helped our students in enhancing their abilities to form a correct behaviour management plan for all cases. He is a Clinical Research Assistant, Department of Land and Food systems, University of British Columbia, Canada. He also the Assistant Director of Admissions at CDI College, Surrey, Canada. He completed his B.D.S from Kurukshetra University, Haryana in 2010 and Masters in Dental Public Health from Sumandeep Vidyapeeth in 2014 and was a national topper in the specialty. In the year 2020, he was conferred with Ph.D. in Dental Sciences from Pacific University, Udaipur.
In his presentation, He emphasized the prospects of Dentistry in North America and how research differs there from India. He stressed on the strength of people from different cultures, who worked together as a team in a Heathcare system of North America. He also stressed on the options available for a fresh dentist to work in North America and what should be the different streams of healthcare system one can adopt as a career. As an initiative started by our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha, the first “Post Graduate Curriculum Enhancement Program” was conducted by the Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 5^th March 2020, with an objective to give our Post Graduate Students enhanced clinical experience from practicing specialist Clinicians in a each field of dentistry. Renowned Pediatric Dentist, Dr Kunal Gupta, was invited to share his clinical experiences with the post graduate students in the field of Pediatric Dentistry Practice and Sedation Dentistry. A webinar was organized by the Department of Orthodontics, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 29/01/20 on the topic “Insight into Invisalign” by renowned speaker Dr. Babandeep Bajwa. She provides training and guidance to certified orthodontists in understanding Invisalign. She provided an overview of the Invisalign system starting with an introduction of the system and its various features. She also talked about patient selection, case submission, treatment planning on their patented software ‘Clincheck’ and monitoring of treatment progress. The webinar ended with a question and answer session and feedback from the participants. As an appreciation for the regularity in attending college, 5 Interns and 5 BDS students on the basis of their attendance had been invited to attend this webinar. Alumni Guest Lecture on “Dentistry as a Career Choice”

I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad has taken up an initiative of organizing lecture on Clinical Practice/ Career Building by Alumni (U.G & P.G) of its college, where they would share their professional experiences with our students. This initiative is a brain child of our respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha, who is always taking steps to equip our students with best of knowledge. Dr Divya Khanna, was the guest speaker of the program which was organized on 25^th January, 2020. She spoke on the topic “Dentistry as a Career Choice” and gave a close insight on managing a clinical practice efficiently to our students. Webinar on “Ethics in Research”

A Webinar was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 23^rd December, 2019 by renowned speaker Dr. Vinay S on the topic “Ethics in Research”.The webinar was aimed at use and practice of ethical principles in carrying out research studies. He emphasised on the facts that as dentists or researcher we should understand clearly our duties and obligations to the dental profession, to our patients, and to the community at large. Webinar On “Evolution of Radio-diagnosis”

Webinar was organized by the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad, on the occasion of World Radiology Day on the topic “Evolution of Radio-diagnosis." by renowned speaker Dr. Prashanth Shenoyon on 8^th November, 2019. He presented this topic primarily focusing on the postgraduate students who would benefit from this by applying it in their clinical practice and future research work. He explained the basic principles of all Radiologic Modalities used in Dentistry, the difference between 2-D and 3-D imaging, applications in different specialties of Dentistry and limitations.The session was very interactive followed by patient’s and doctor’s education regarding the ill effects and injudicious use of X-rays. The session was attended by the Dr Vinod Sachdev (Director-PG Studies), Dr Devicharan Shetty (Principal), Faculty members, Postgraduate students of all the branches and few selected undergraduate students who have shown excellent performances in academics. Awareness lecture on “Anti-Ragging”

I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted an awareness lecture on “Anti-Ragging”. The lecture was taken by Dr Anil Chandna (Member, Dental Council of India) on 31^st October 2019. It aimed at spreading awareness among students regarding their rights against ragging. Students were also encouraged to report such incidents to the institutional anti ragging committee to prevent any such incidents of ragging. The primary purpose of our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha is to provide a healthy environment to all students and we thank him for supporting us in conducting this lecture. Hands on workshop on Nitrous Oxide Inhalational Sedation

An informative introductory course (Lecture with Hands on) on “Nitrous Oxide Inhalational sedation” was organized by the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 21^stSeptember, 2019. There were around 60 delegates for the program including post graduate students, private practitioners, senior faculty and Heads from Dental colleges in Delhi NCR. The keynote speaker for this event was, Dr. Sadna Rajan who is a renowned international speaker and clinical academician from the University of Melbourne, Australia. The program commenced with an inauguration ceremony graced by Mr. Arpit Chadha, honourable Vice Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group, who addressed the gathering and showed his keen interest in organizing more courses of this kind in collaboration with dentists all over the world. Dr. Vinod Sachdev (Director-PG Studies) and Dr. Devicaran Shetty (Principal) also addressed the gathering, stressing upon the value of this course programme and also motivating the delegates with their thoughts. Dr. Sadna Rajan gave an insight of nitrous oxide inhalation sedation through her very informative, interactive and thought provoking series of lectures to all delegates followed by a step by step demonstration of the inhalation sedation with nitrous oxide to participants who had registered for hands-on course. This programme was overall a success and was well appreciated by all the delegates. We thank our respected Chairman, Dr R.P. Chadha, respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha and the management, without whose support, this program would not have taken place.

Guest Lecture on “Orofacial pain, TMDs and Sleep apnea” was organized by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 17th September 2019. The Guest Speaker of the day was Dr. Davis C Thomas, a world renowned Orofacial Pain specialist from New Jersey, USA. A total of 150 participants attended the lecture including faculty, post graduates students and interns. It was a very interactive and highly informative session which made everyone think beyond the usual. The event was attended by Dr Vinod Sachdev (Director-PG Studies) and Dr Devicharan Shetty (Principal) along with the Heads of all Departments. We thank our respected Chairman Sir, Dr R.P. Workshop on a “Facial Hair Transplant"

An informative workshop on a “Facial Hair Transplant” was organized by the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 13th & 14th September 2019. The guest speaker was Prof. Sainath Matsa, who is a certified well known Maxillofacial Surgeon. The workshop was inaugaurated by the Director PG studies, Dr. Vinod Sachdev, Principal, Dr. Devi Charan Shetty and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (H.O.D. Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). The workshop was attended by more than 50 participants comprising of students, faculties from various colleges and private practitioners. The interactive lectures were followed by hands on workshop wherein the participants were given live training of hair transplantation on patients. Sincere thanks to our respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha who was the driving force behind the program and had given us opportunity to organize the same.

CDE on “Clinical Quagmires in Orthodontics” - 30 August 2019

An informative CDE on “Clinical Quagmires in Orthodontics” was organized by the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on 30th August, 2019. There were around 90 delegates who belonged to a wide spectrum of Higher Education Institutions of North India. The guest Speaker for this event was, Dr. Shailesh Deshmukh, an exceptional dental professional and a renowned speaker who has conducted various such workshops on Clinical Orthodontics with a patient centric focus and unconventional clinical approach to the problems Faced in Our Clinical Practice. There was a warm welcome of dignitaries by Dr. Vinod Sachdev, the Director P.G. Studies and Dr. Devicharan Shetty, the Principal of the college. A brief overview of the program was given by the Head of the Department, Department of Orthodontics Dr. Payal Sharma. CDE workshop on “Dentbeaute: Ameliorating your smile” on 9th and 10th July 2019

To inculcate the art of building a beautiful smile in the practice of young dentists, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organized a CDE workshop on “Dentbeaute: Ameliorating your smile” on 9th and 10th July 2019. This was a 2 day scientific extravaganza overwhelmed with over 200 registrations including private practioners, senior faculty and heads from Dental colleges of Delhi NCR, dentists, interns, under graduate and post graduate students, from various colleges, not only from Delhi but also from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Gujrat and Himachal Pradesh. Mr Arpit Chadha, respected Vice Chairman, ITS- The Education Group consented to be the chief guest of the occasion and enlightened the delegates with his wise words of wisdom. The event was also graced by Mr B K Arora, Secretary, ITS Education group. The guest speaker was renowned Academician, Clinician and International speaker Dr B Mohan. He is an accredited member of American academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, secretary of Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, President Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, India, Treasurer American Board of Cosmetic and Esthetic Dentistry. He spoke on the significance of esthetic dentistry, principles of smile designing, treatment planning and various modalities of smile designing.

CDE workshop on clinical photography- 26 June 2019

“A photograph speaks a thousand words!” And teaching the implication of this essential skill , the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery organized a CDE workshop on clinical photography to enhance the knowledge of students and faculty in this arena on 26 June 2019. The guest speaker was renowned orthodontist and photographer Prof. Dr. Tarun Sharma from Seema Dental College and Hospital Rishikesh who along with his team from Canon explained the concepts of clinical photography and gave a hands on to students for clicking clinical pictures. We thank our respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha who has provided us unconditional support for organizing this program.

Implantology for undergraduates!

Under the able guidance of our respected Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha ,second session of basic implantology training for final year BDS students was conducted. The module was power-packed with lectures, live demo surgery with PRP and ridge split and comprehensive hands-on activities for orienting students to dental implants! Students placed implants on dummy mandibles and practiced suturing with real tissue feel on chicken pieces.

CDE on “Tobacco Control and Cessation” - 29th May 2019

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad organized an informative CDE and Workshop on “Tobacco Control and Cessation” on 29th May 2019. Mr. Arpit Chadha, respected Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group consented to be the chief guest of the occasion. The guest speaker for the occasion was Dr. Hansa Kundu, Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha and Dr. Ashutosh Gautam, who spoke about the role of dentist in tobacco cessation, various legal aspects of tobacco control, Nicotine replacement therapy and various other treatment modalities in the area of tobacco control and cessation. This comprehensive, one day CDE Programme included both lectures and workshop to handle complex patients who were in a habit of smoking or chewing tobacco and learn about diagnosis and evaluation of these patients. Along with that, live demonstration of carbon monoxide monitor was given to all the participants. The whole event was covered by the media.

A Webinar was organized by Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology on 24th May, 2019 on the topic “Unmasking the Colossal Camouflage- Microbiome" which was presented by renowned speaker Dr. Radhika M. Bavle (Professor and Head, Department of Oral Pathology, Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka). The webinar was aimed at integrating the clinicians’ perspective with the branch of oral pathology to the UG & PG students and faculty members of all the departments. Our honorable Vice Chairman Mr Arpit Chadha always has a motivating attitude towards organization of such audio-visual exchange of knowledge which would benefit the students of the college.

ITS Centre for Dental Studies and Research celebrated Aparajita – 100 million smiles an initiative undertaken by Amar Ujala. She explained what does being a successful women leader actually men and how we should learn to Respond and Not React, when we are confronted by ‘LIFE’. WORKSHOP ON BASIC LIFE SUPPORT IN COLLABORATION WITH AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

Workshop on Basic Life Support (Hands on certified course) was organized on 15th and 16th January 2019 at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad in collaboration with American Heart Association for the students and faculty. All the delegates were taught to combat sudden cardiac arrest and management of such medical emergencies arising in the clinical practice through an exhaustive hands on program. The “Dr. Hari Parkash Oration Lecture – 2018” was held on 7th December 2018, at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad. The eminent speaker for the Dr. Hari Prakash oration lecture was Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Prakash Mathur, (Head of the Department, Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, AIIMS, Delhi). In his speech, he appreciated the untiring and continuous efforts made by our overzealous Vice Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group, Mr Arpit Chadha, to train the future generations of dentist in all latest treatment modalities. A Webinar was organized by Department of Periodontology on 16th October, 2018 by renowned speaker Dr. Sanjay Jain on the topic “Virtual to Reality the Future of Implantology” in the Boardroom of the premises.

Dr. Sanjay Jain, MDS, is doing exclusive Perio-Implants-Lasers practice since 16 years. He Masters in Laser Dentistry from Vienna. He is Professor and P.G. Guide at M.A. Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Pune. He is also a faculty for Bio-Horizons Implant Program and Society of Oral Laser Applications-India. He is currently a Master Trainer and KOL Real Time Dynamic Navigation Navident. He has numerous national and international publications to his name.

The webinar was aimed at use of real time dynamic navigation (Navident) for three dimensional correct implant placement. The presentation emphasized on the systematic and logical approach for planning and executing the implant placement using this latest technology in the field of implantology. The highlight of the webinar was videos of the procedure to depict correct use of technology. Department of Prosthodontics & Oral Implantology, I.T.S – CDSR, Muradnagar organized a Webinar on “Full mouth Rehabilitation- A Case series” by Dr. Santosh Doddamani, Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Bapuji Dental College & Hospital, Davanagere.

Around 74 participants including Faculty members, Post-graduates & Interns were part of this specialized continuing education program.
The Program was conceptualized by our dynamic Vice-Chairman, Mr. Arpit Chadha.
The event was whole heartedly supported by Director - Dr. Vinod Sachdev and Principal – Dr. Devicharan Shetty.

A Webinar was organized by Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology on 28^th May, 2018 on the topic “Clinicans and Oral Pathology: An Integrated Approach”.

Dr. Anand S Teginnamani, Associate Professor, Department of Oral Pathology, SEGi University, Malaysia was the keynote speaker for the webinar. He has more than 15 years of academic experience in the field of Oral pathology. He has done his graduation, post graduation and PhD for Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He has also received fellowship in Oral pathology from the IAOMP. He is the past Vice president of IAOMP and currently Associate editor of Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in SEGi University, Malaysia.

The webinar was aimed at integrating the clinicians’ perspective with the branch of oral pathology. The presentation highlighted the systematic and logical approach for diagnosing common lesions encountered in the dental practice. It emphasized on the important clinical aspects to be borne in mind while diagnosing oral lesions routine clinical practice. The presentation was aimed at integrating the oral pathology practice into the clinical scenario by the young graduates and interns. It emphasized on assimilation of the knowledge of pathologic basis of disease and clinicopathological correlation during diagnosis, treatment planning and prognostication of the disease. He concluded by stating that a fundamental knowledge of oral pathology is essential to become a successful dental clinician.

Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics celebrated the Conservative and Endodontic day on 5/3/18 by organizing a webinar on “Magnification Aided Endodontics”. Our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha was the source of inspiration for the regular video conference and webinar to be conducted to bring the best of the world's minds to interact with our budding dentists. The Webinar was delivered by renowned speaker Dr. Vivek Hegde (Vice Principal and Professor & Head at MA Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune). His presentation stressed on the basics of magnification. He highlighted various applications of magnification in endodontics and minimally invasive restorative treatment.

Clear Aligners/ Invisalign Workshop- 27-02-2018

An Orientation lecture of Invisalign Technique and Clinical demonstration of digital Impression using iTero Intra-oral scanner was held at the Department of Orthodontics on 27/02/18. This activity of bringing the latest technology to the institution is spearheaded by our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha. Experts from Invisalign, India explained the treatment process & protocol with a live demonstration of intra-oral scanning & instant treatment simulation.

Dr. Hari Parkash Oration Lecture – 27-02-18

The “Dr. Hari Parkash Oration Lecture – 2018” was held on 27th February, 2018 at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad. The eminent speaker for the Dr. Hari Prakash oration lecture was Padmashri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, (Director – Principal Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi. The audience was blessed with few words of wisdom by Professor Emeritus Prof. (Dr.) Hari Prakash. He said in his speech that, he was really happy to see the efforts being made by the institute to train the future generations of dentist in all latest treatment modalities. He said it was all due to the keen interest shown by young & dynamic Vice Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group, Mr Arpit Chadha, in day to day academic activities which has made ITS – CDSR one of the best dental college in the country. After this stage was handed over to Guest Speaker Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma to continue his oration lecture on topic “Sustaining challenges for current dental professionals- surviving in modern times!!!” He answered various problems faced by dentists like ‘How does one stay relevant in the evolving world of dental practice? How does one not succumb to the threats? How does one overcome the precariousness of the profession and appear triumphant? What is the mantra to champion a successful model of dental practice?’ The lecture was attended by Mr. Surinder Sood (Director Public Relations, I.T.S The Education Group), Dr. Vinod Sachdev (Director PG Studies, I.T.S – CDSR, Ghaziabad) & Dr. Devi Charan Shetty (Principal, I.T.S – CDSR, Ghaziabad). The informative lecture truly inculcated a positive attitude towards dentistry in our students. Guest lecture at CDE program, IDA Ghaziabad 15-02-18

CDE Program was organized by I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad in collaboration with IDA Ghaziabad for the dental practitioners of Ghaziabad on 15 February 2018. An informative lecture was delivered by Dr Devicharan Shetty, Principal, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad on the topic "Clinicians and Institution- An integrated approach to patient care ". The talk was aimed at spreading awareness regarding the collaboration of dental practitioners and the educational institutions for better data sharing and facilitating learning from both ends. Webinar on "Overview of Research" was organized at I.T.S Dental College Ghaziabad by the Department of Public Health Dentistry for the post graduate students and faculty members on 31 January 2018. 10 outstanding under graduate students were also selected for attending the webinar. The speaker of the day was well renowned speaker Dr Puneet Gupta. He is Reader in the Department of Community Dentistry at Government Dental College, Indore, India and is certified by IBM in SPSS software. Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshop 23-25 January 2018

I.T.S Dental College, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshop on 23-25 January 2018 in collaboration with our sister college, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. The workshop was organized under DST-NIMAT Project and was sponsored by NSTEDB, Government of India and EDII Ahmedabad. It comprised of 2 days of lecture series by eminent speakers and an Industrial Visit to give practical insight to students regarding entrepreneurship and working of industries. We thank our honorable Vice Chairman, Mr Arpit Chadha and I.T.S Mohan Nagar to have taken this initiative which would be very beneficial to our students.

Anti Ragging Sensitization Program 19-01-18

An anti ragging sensitization program was organized by the Dental Council of India at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad for the BDS students on 19 January 2017. Dr Anil Chandana, DCI member was the Speaker of the Day. The program aimed at making the students informed about their rights in case of a ragging incident by anyone. Students were also encouraged to report such incidents to the institutional anti ragging committee to prevent any such further incidents.
