General Pathology

Concept of disease is as old as life itself. Pathology    clarifies the cause and mechanism of disease and explains scientifically the structural and functional changes seen in diseased organ and tissues at macroscopic, microscopic and molecular levels. With concerted efforts we have collected more than sixty gross specimens and over forty Histopathology and Hematology slides. Some of the specimens like Pericarditis, Nutmeg liver, Infarct spleen, Adrenal hemorrhage, Lung Tuberculosis, Contracted kidney, and others are considered invaluable and rare. The Department is well equipped with Binocular microscopes, computerised microscopic slide projector, O.H.P, flow charts and photographs. Teaching faculty is a blend of youth and experience
