Overview

The department of Oral Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences is responsible for didactic and clinical teaching programs encompassing all aspects of oral pathology and its relationship to systemic diseases utilizing advanced radiology and other diagnostic techniques. This department screens all patients who seek emergency and comprehensive treatment and provides consultative services for them. The primary educational goal of this division is the delivery of knowledge focusing on the identification, diagnosis and management of oral and maxillofacial diseases and abnormalities utilizing contemporary diagnostic techniques and current principles of biologic science. A strong emphasis is placed on the recognition of oral health as part of total health. Over the years, the unit has acquired a reputation for excellence in teaching and patient care
