WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Physiotherapy is the application of physical phenomenon for the purpose of treating medical diseases. It deals with the study of physics as applicable in the cure of medical conditions.

It is a professional health care discipline directed primarily towards the prevention or alleviation of movement dysfunction in people.

The Curriculum

Physical Therapy is a course that merges medical & engineering sciences together into a regular curriculum. The study in physiotherapy thus involves a combination of medical & engineering sciences.

In the first year of the curriculum the student undergoes a rigorous study in subjects like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Electronics, etc., and

In second year he/she is taught the various medical & surgical diseases,
